Privacy Statement

OVERVIEW

The CV Studio: Tech Edition is a public AI assistant created by Recruit I.T. using OpenAI’s ChatGPT platform.
It helps technology professionals build, review, and refine New Zealand–ready CVs.
All interactions take place within OpenAI’s systems. Recruit I.T. does not collect, store, or have access to the content that users submit.

WHO PROCESSES YOUR DATA

OpenAI operates and hosts the GPT platform (ChatGPT and Custom GPTs).
When you interact with The CV Studio: Tech Edition, your messages, uploads, and CV content are processed directly by OpenAI under its Privacy Policy.
Recruit I.T. does not receive, store, or access any of the information you share with The CV Studio.

WHAT DATA IS PROCESSED

When you use The CV Studio, you may provide:

  • Text entered in chat (e.g. CV details or role descriptions)
  • Uploaded CV documents (e.g. Word or PDF files)

This information is processed by OpenAI to generate responses within your session.
Recruit I.T. cannot view, download, or retrieve this data.

DATA RETENTION AND MODEL TRAINING

Conversations and files are stored temporarily by OpenAI to support your session.
Recruit I.T. does not retain or copy your data.
OpenAI’s platform settings determine whether data is used to train and improve AI models. Users can manage this in their own ChatGPT account under Settings → Data controls.
Recruit I.T. does not use, access, or contribute user data to any external databases or systems.

ANONYMISATION (Optional)

If you choose, The CV Studio can anonymise your CV before processing by replacing personal identifiers (such as your name, email, phone number, or LinkedIn URL) with placeholders.
You can request anonymisation at any time by typing, for example: “Please anonymise my CV.”

Recruit I.T. does not automatically anonymise or retain any original identifiers.

SECURITY

All communication with The CV Studio is encrypted and handled by OpenAI’s infrastructure.
Recruit I.T. does not receive or store uploaded files, chat content, or generated CVs.
We recommend avoiding the inclusion of sensitive information beyond what’s necessary for CV creation.

YOUR RIGHTS

You can manage your data settings directly within your ChatGPT account.
You may delete conversation history or uploaded files from your ChatGPT interface at any time.
