About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Test Automation Engineer with a strong background in both manual and automation testing. You’ll join a highly collaborative delivery team working in both manual and automation testing practices across enterprise systems and integration projects.
The role requires someone confident working with custom solutions, out-of-the-box scenarios, and a wide variety of testing methods. You’ll need excellent Java skills, deep technical understanding of frameworks, and experience integrating automated tests into DevOps pipelines .
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement automation testing framework using Selenium and Java
- Build and maintain automation test suites with robust architectural structure and configuration
- Conduct comprehensive performance testing using JMeter
- Perform advanced API testing using REST Assured or RestSharp, with a sound understanding of API concepts and behaviours
- Design BDD test cases with Cucumber, SpecFlow, or similar tools
- Execute manual test cycles across functional, UAT, system, and regression testing
- Work confidently across complex, custom-built systems with out-of-the-box scenarios
- Integrate automation into CI/CD processes using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps
- Collaborate closely with developers, testers, and DevOps engineers in a fully agile environment
- Minimum 5 years’ commercial experience in software testing (manual and automation)
- Strong proficiency in Java and solid understanding of object-oriented programming
- Experience building and configuring test frameworks using Selenium and Java
- Strong skills in performance testing using JMeter or similar
- Deep understanding of API testing principles, tools, and automation
- Experience with scripting languages like Python, JavaScript or similar
- Hands-on with CI/CD tools and pipeline automation (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
- Mobile automation experience using Appium or similar
- Previous exposure to ERP/CRM platforms such as SAP, Salesforce, or Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Playwright experience and AI knowledge
- Familiarity with Jira Xray or similar tools for test planning and reporting
- SQL experience for backend data validation where required
