About the Role:
We’re on the lookout for a .NET Developer with strong experience in backend systems and transactional logic to support a fast-paced remediation and optimisation project. This is a 2-month contract with immediate impact, based in Auckland with hybrid working flexibility –remote options may be considered for the right candidate.

You’ll be contributing to the redevelopment of an application originally built offshore and now brought in-house for review and rebuild. The focus is on resolving issues in the transactional domain, improving performance, and ensuring financial flows are accurate and secure.

Key Areas of Work
  • Redesign and implementation of domain models (e.g., Transaction, BankTransaction, Account, Invoice) using double-entry methodology
  • Refactoring service-tier integrations between APIs and domain logic
  • Optimising scheduled jobs such as payout and invoicing processes
  • Supporting the development of ETL processes for potential data migration
  • Working closely with integration points including Windcave (PxPay) and SendGrid, and managing file-based banking integrations
Key Deliverables
  • Robust and accurate double-entry transaction models
  • End-to-end money flow processes, tested and production-ready
  • Improved invoice generation and statement functionality
  • Query and endpoint optimisation where required
Tech Stack
  • NET Core (APIs, Azure Functions, Service Bus)
  • Entity Framework & Azure SQL
  • Azure Cloud platform
  • Azure DevOps (Pipelines, Repos, Sprint Management)
What We’re Looking For
  • Strong backend experience with .NET Core and transactional systems
  • Solid understanding of double-entry accounting principles in code
  • Experience working across APIs, integration layers, and database optimisation
  • Ability to work at pace and make immediate contributions to a lean, agile team
  • Self-starter who can hit the ground running and manage their own delivery
