About the Role:
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and scaling backend services that support high-performance, event-driven systems. You’ll work in a collaborative engineering team where your contributions shape the product’s architecture and performance.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Designing and developing robust, scalable backend services using Python and Go
- Building and maintaining secure, high-performance APIs and data pipelines
- Architecting cloud-native infrastructure on GCP or AWS
- Contributing to system design decisions and backend roadmap planning
- Collaborating with data and frontend teams to deliver seamless user experiences
- Driving best practices in clean code, testing, and continuous delivery
- Solid experience with Go (Golang), including building production-grade backend services
- Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL databases (especially PostgreSQL)
- Strong background in backend API design and development
- Proven ability to work in high-availability, distributed cloud environments
- Experience developing microservices and event-driven systems at scale
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, and containerisation
- Advantage: Knowledge of IAM systems, SQLAlchemy, or machine learning workflows
