We're on the lookout for a detail-oriented individual to join our Group Software team as a Product Development Coordinator. This isn't just any role – it's a chance to be at the heart of our operations, making sure new features, bug fixes and support issues get planned in and delivered.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Product Development Coordinator, you will be a part of a team responsible for scheduling, planning, and deploying software releases, ensuring our team on the ground get the best out of our systems!
Release Planning:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, quality assurance, and operations, to plan and prioritize software releases.
- Develop and maintain release schedules, ensuring alignment with business initiatives and operational requirements.
- Identify and mitigate potential release risks, developing contingency plans as needed.
- Create and manage release schedules, including testing, and deployment timelines.
- Coordinate with development teams to ensure timely completion of tasks and milestones.
- Monitor and report on release progress, identifying and addressing any deviations from the plan.
- Work closely with regional teams to ensure thorough UAT/Regression testing and validation of software releases.
- Coordinate and escalate any deployment related issues.
- Run post-deployment retros to identify areas of continuous improvement.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for our developers and stakeholders, providing regular updates on release status, timelines, and issues.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including release notes, post release retro documentation.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding of software releases and their impact on the business.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure thorough testing and validation of software releases.
- Identify and report on defects, working with development teams to resolve issues and implement fixes.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the development lifecycle, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, implementing changes as needed.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, ensuring compliance with the client's software development standards. (Discover/Decide/Design/Develop/Deliver)
- Excellent organizational, planning, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues.
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality and accuracy.
- Knowledge of software product lifecycles, APIs, and IT operations. Attitude and aptitude essential.
