- Site Reliability Engineers (Multiple Roles – Intermediate to Senior)
- Permanent Opportunity
- Flexible NZ Locations
We’re hiring multiple Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) across a range of seniority levels — from intermediate to senior to technical lead — to join a high-impact cloud enablement team driving enterprise-scale transformation in Azure.
Whether you're growing your SRE career or ready to lead from the front, this is a chance to work in an empowered engineering environment focused on automation, performance, and reliability. You’ll contribute to strategic platform improvements while collaborating within agile squads that value autonomy, shared ownership, and technical excellence.
Location & Work Model
We support a flexible work environment, tailored by location:
- Auckland-based candidates: Hybrid model – 2 days per week in-office.
- Wellington-based candidates: Regional office attendance 1–2 days per week, quarterly travel to Auckland at your own expense.
- Other NZ locations: Fully remote, with quarterly travel to Auckland at your own expense.
As an SRE, you’ll:
- Automate provisioning and management of Azure and hybrid infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Enhance service reliability, availability, and observability with modern tooling.
- Support and improve incident, problem, and change management workflows.
- Lead or contribute to resilience engineering, blameless postmortems, and platform optimisation.
- Collaborate with teams to embed SRE practices early in the software delivery lifecycle.
- Mentor peers (in senior roles) and actively uplift technical capability within the squad.
We encourage applications from candidates with intermediate to senior-level experience in the following areas:
Core Capabilities:
- 3–10+ years’ experience in SRE, infrastructure, platform engineering, or DevOps roles.
- Practical experience with Azure cloud environments (certifications a plus).
- Hands-on skills in IaC tooling (Terraform, ARM, Bicep, etc.).
- Familiarity with CI/CD, deployment automation, and operational runbooks.
- Experience with monitoring, alerting, and diagnostics (e.g., Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, security practices, and systems reliability.
- Experience with landing zones, enterprise control planes, or regulated cloud environments.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor, lead, or uplift SRE capability within teams.
- Exposure to scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) and release pipelines.
- Be part of a mission-critical programme delivering strategic, resilient platforms.
- Join a team where your input is heard, valued, and acted on.
- Grow in a role that aligns with your level — from intermediate engineers building depth, to senior engineers leading maturity uplift.
- Enjoy a modern, flexible work setup with great growth opportunities.
