About the Role
We're looking for a Marine Electronics Field Technician with a strong background in commissioning, fault finding diagnosis and repair.
This role will see you responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of marine electronic systems across a variety of environments including vessels, workshops, and offshore locations. You will play a key role in ensuring equipment operates at optimal performance while delivering high quality service to customers. Ideally, a technician with strong hands-on experience and proven field skills is sought to support on-site operations, troubleshoot complex issues, and deliver reliable, high-quality service in dynamic environments.
You will also work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair marine electronic systems
- Carry out commissioning and sea trials for deployed systems
- Provide field and workshop support across multiple projects
- Communicate with customers regarding job requirements, progress, and completion
- Diagnose faults and coordinate with manufacturers or suppliers where required
- Complete job documentation including service reports, job cards, and timesheets
- Support customers with operational guidance to maximise equipment performance
- Identify new service opportunities and contribute to business growth
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with health and safety standards
- Strong technical knowledge of marine electronics systems
- Proven experience in installation, maintenance, and fault finding
- Ability to work independently in field based environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literacy, including ability to work with technical software and systems
- A proactive and solutions focused mindset
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
- Ability to work offshore and in challenging environments
- Maintain high standards of presentation and professionalism
