About the Role
We're looking for a Marine Electronics Engineer with a strong IT background to support simulation systems, vessel IT networks, and integrated platform management systems (IPMS). This position offers a dynamic mix of hardware, software, and networking responsibilities across training simulators and active marine platforms, including navy vessels.

You'll work closely with engineering, R&D, production, and customer teams to support the installation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of advanced marine technology systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and support marine simulator systems onsite
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot IT systems (both land and vessel-based)
  • Integrate navigation, communication, and onboard systems with vessel networks
  • Maintain IPMS systems on navy vessels to the highest operational standard
  • Provide training on newly installed systems to customers
  • Handle general IT support requests and system upgrades
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and update technical training materials
  • Support system commissioning, diagnostics, and customer issue resolution
  • Accurately record job data and ensure administrative compliance
Skills and Experience Required
  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and network systems
  • Experience with LAN, wireless networks, and control systems
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills across complex IT and electronic systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proven ability to manage projects and collaborate across teams
  • Familiarity with marine or defence environments is advantageous
