We are on the hunt for a contract Data Tester who brings solid experience in data validation, scripting and SQL querying. You'll work on a critical data analytics pipeline project that powers decision-making and insights for the wider business.
This is not your typical click-and-test role — we’re looking for someone who knows how to write a select query, understands data joins, and can develop Python scripts to automate and validate transformations across ETL pipelines.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design and execute test cases for complex data pipelines
- Validate datasets for accuracy, completeness and integrity
- Write SQL queries to assess and validate business logic
- Develop automated validation scripts in Python
- Collaborate with data engineers to resolve issues and improve data quality
- Proven experience as a Data Tester or Test Analyst within a data-focused team
- Strong SQL skills – comfortable writing complex select statements and joining tables
- Python scripting experience for test automation or data validation
- Understanding of ETL pipelines, data transformations, and business logic testing
- Familiarity with data platforms like Databricks and Lakehouse architectures is a bonus
