About the Role
Our client is growing its Cards & Payments team and needs a Contract Senior .NET Engineer who will build the domain services, data stores, and Visa integrations using .NET microservices and event-driven processing on a cloud-native stack.
We're after someone who pairs strong .NET craft with genuine skill directing AI coding tools, engineering good context, breaking down problems, and holding a high bar reviewing AI-generated code in a regulated environment.
What You'll Bring
- Strong C# / .NET Core microservices experience on AWS, deployed via Docker/Kubernetes (EKS or similar)
- Demonstrated AI-assisted development skills
- Experience with REST/GraphQL APIs, contract-first design (OpenAPI/Swagger)
- Experience with Relational databases, CI/CD, and test automation (TDD/BDD)
- Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Visa or other card scheme API experience
- Card payments domain knowledge
- Experience working within a regulated software environment, particularly financial services or payments
- Understanding of OAuth / zero-trust principles and token-based authentication
