Senior Data Developer

• Initial 9-month Contract
• Auckland CBD location
• Work for one of NZ's largest organisations

Recruit IT is working with one of NZ's largest financial organisations in search of a Senior Data Warehouse Developer who can hit the ground running, working on analysing and delivering change within a Teradata data warehouse environment of one of NZ's largest organisations.

You'll focus on their ETL environment and delivering in the AWS.
You will be part of the Data & Analytics team, working with Teradata, AWS and Ab Initio.

About you:

• Strong experience as a developer within an enterprise scale data warehouse technology environment (ideally Teradata or Oracle)
• Ideally you'll have experience with the Cloud (ideally AWS) 
• Experience with Ab Initio is nice to have
• Expereince in financial organisations is beneficial 
• Experience with at least one programming language (e.g. Java, C#, Python etc.)
• Strong SQL scripting experience 
• Experience with data modelling
• Demonstrated experience with enterprise ETL platforms such as Datastage, Wherescape RED or Informatica
• Experience in the software development lifecycle within an Agile environment (e.g. use of Scrum, Kanban techniques)
• Working knowledge in DevOps practices & continuous integration & delivery (CI/CD)
• Proven problem-solving ability and the ability to work individually as well as within a team environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
