We are working with a large organisation looking to overhaul and strengthen their environment and lower future risk potential. They are currently seeking a Chief Information Security Officer who will ensure the protection of the technology, assets, and people of the organisation through establishing best security practices.
You will be responsible for information and cyber security strategies and operating models, information security policy frameworks, along with providing advice and direction to other senior leaders within the business to ensure effective coverage across operational processes. You will also contribute towards delivering digital outcomes across the organisation and working collaboratively with a wide variety of stakeholders both within the organisation, and associated businesses.
As the Chief Information Security Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing a range of technical and process security controls and leading a program of continuous improvement in response to changing security threats and risks. The role requires a thorough understanding of the technology underpinning the organisation's IT systems, as well as a broad, up-to-date knowledge of information security frameworks, pertinent regulation and legislation, vulnerability management, incident management, and response, secure development techniques and approaches, cyber security engineering and operations, and management and governance of cyber risk and cyber security.
As a member of the IT leadership team, you will actively contribute to the digital enablement leadership team to lead and deliver organizational digital-wide outcomes and strategies. Alongside this, proactively contribute to business initiatives that support the Waikato DHB strategy including working collaboratively with other business groups to integrate strategic thinking and enable performance to be achieved both short and long term.
This role is for someone who has held this level of responsibility and influence within a prior role and can demonstrate the ability to deliver successful, secure outcomes.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
- You will be required to have over 5 years of proven technical and people leadership within a security-focused role.
- Extensive experience developing security strategies, policies, and processes is a must.
- Experience identifying risks and developing plans for security compliance is necessary.
- Demonstrated experience with a range of security frameworks (e.g., NZIM, SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, COSCO, COBIT, etc.).
