The Change Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of the change-management strategy for the project, including communications and training.

The Change Manager will also be responsible for the development and implementation of effective communications, using a variety of channels to engage internal and external stakeholders and audiences. Ability to prepare and implement a communications framework for the project that complements and aligns with the organisational change and workplace engagement priorities.

Possesses strong communication and influencing skills, and are comfortable with advising and guiding others; someone that has a proven change management and communications background and proficient in change management programmes, experience with organisational change in a large, complex organisation in essential.


·      Creation of strategies for change, communication and training.

·      Creation and implementation of communication aligned to the change and communications strategy.

·      Business Impact Assessment based on current and future state process, including recommended changes in organisational design

·      Complete Training Needs Analysis. Support the on-boarding and management of a trainer, and provide support for the creation of a training plan and training materials

·      Business readiness assessment prior to go-live

·      Ensure the project team and business stakeholders are kept up to date with information on the project through the following initiatives:

o  Liaise with the appropriate stakeholders in order to provide the required information to Internal Communications to feed into any communication mechanisms.

o  Work with Project Manager to feed into meetings as appropriate.

o  Provide other ad hoc support to ensure that the appropriate communications are being developed and implemented to support the change programme.

o  Development of strong working relationships to get a good understanding of all activities going on, glean key priorities and identify any communication gaps that need to be addressed.

o  Provide support to the Steering Committee with the preparation of presentations and materials as required.

o  Management of a business working group to facilitate better cross-team activities or work, improved ways of working, and better knowledge management within the business.


·      Long term experience in the strategy, planning and the delivery of both internal and external communications.

·      Substantial experience of providing change and communications support at a senior level within a professional service environment and/or a major organisation.

·      A proven record of developing and using insights and communicating them in creatively in a relevant and engaging manner.

·      Experience of managing stakeholder relationships at a senior level.

·      Knowledge of the Facilities and Utilities industry Experience of developing and using change management tools and techniques.

·      Experience with financial projects ideally


·      Excellent communication skills – articulate with the written and spoken work and ability to “tell a story”.

·      Ability to influence and build relationships across the business.

·      Strong negotiation, presentation, and management skills.

·      Project management skills.

·      Advanced skills in Microsoft PowerPoint.

·      Able to demonstrate awareness of business and organisational sensitivities and reflect this in approaches to communicating change.

·      Excellent organisation and planning skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.

·      Understanding of the company structure, policies and concerns.
