John has been in ICT Recruitment since 1998. He has worked in Senior Account Management and Country Management roles for locally owned and multi national recruitment providers until co-forming Recruit IT in October 2006.

Prior to recruitment, John worked for 17 years in the financial services and ICT industry within New Zealand. He brings to the table an array of national and international industry contacts and utilizes these to ensure clients get the resources they need, and candidates, the job they want!

Outside of work John enjoys competing in skiing and football and catching up with friends and family. He enjoys the relationship building side of the industry too.

Ben Allen – Director

Recruit IT Ben AllenBen commenced his ICT Recruitment career in Switzerland specializing in software development (particularly in the telecommunications space). He has worked for multinational recruitment providers since 2001 until successfully establishing New Zealand owned Recruit IT Group Ltd.

Prior to recruitment, Ben had a professional rugby career, playing both in NZ and France.

Ben continues to be a driving force behind Recruit IT. He delivers to his clients in very much a hands on capacity, with a supportive team around him to call on where necessary.

Jarrod Ross – Managing Partner

Jarrod RossJarrod commenced his career in the ICT Recruitment industry in London, in 2006, whilst on the traditional Kiwi OE.

With professional training and strong mentors, he quickly developed the key skills needed to be a top ICT recruiter. During the following 3 years he established relationships across the UK and Europe until returning to NZ in 2009 and continuing his career back home.

Jarrod works within a variety of industry sectors. This, coupled with his New Zealand and overseas experience, has meant he has accumulated a broad knowledge of ICT, right through from helpdesk roles to senior management positions.

Outside of the office Jarrod is a keen musician, spending his time writing, recording and hitting the stage with his band. He also loves to surf and train in martial arts.

Jarrod prides himself on providing a friendly and professional service to all his clients and candidates, finding out what they really want and delivering the right outcome accordingly.

Aradhna Ganesh – Account Manager

Born and bred in the city of sails, Aradhna has come from a very diverse sales background working in Real estate, Banking and now Recruitment. Aradhna enjoys building and fostering relationships to provide the best possible outcome for her clients and candidates. She does this leveraging off her networks to provide relevant and expert market knowledge.

When she is not busy trying to find exceptional people for her clients or trying to find the dream job for her candidates, she is probably at a dance or singing practice as she is very active in the performing arts scene within her community. Following the completion of his Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management at the University of Canterbury, Tim decided to combine his experienced customer service experience with his HR degree in order to be successful in the recruitment industry. Prior to coming to Auckland, Tim was born and raised in the ‘Garden City’ where he had a strong background in customer service through his retail sales experience, and will bring this skillset to aid services to candidates.

Originally from sunny Hawkes Bay, Nikki has come from a diverse background in customer service, sales and HR in the Tertiary, Government and Retail sectors and is now utilising this in her recruitment career.

Nikita Leiman – Resource Consultant

Nikita Leiman Recruit IT Team

Originally from Russia, Nikita spent the bulk of his life living and studying overseas in Europe and Africa before making the big move to New Zealand 14 years ago. Over the last decade, he’s had the privilege of working at start-ups, SMEs as well as large and complex organisations where he built his career mostly in the tech space holding multiple roles in customer experience, client support, cross functional team leadership, customer operations, service enhancement, implementation, process improvement, account management and most recently, technical recruitment.

Nikita is tertiary qualified in Business Studies & Human Resource Management and has an extensive understanding of what is required to build well performing, cohesive teams across the software development lifecycle.

Kirsten Metzger – Senior Operations & Payroll Manager

Kirsten MetzgerKirsten commenced her IT career in SAP before taking a left turn into Sports Management in 2003.  She helped build and run a well known Touch Rugby company in the UK (www.in2touch.com/uk) which today has some 23,000 players (many of whom are expat Kiwi IT workers).

Kirsten is now responsible for the operational management of Recruit IT (NZ, Australia and the UK).  With a keen eye for detail and a great ability to multi task Kirsten ensures that our operation receives the support it requires to deliver our range of client and candidate services.

Outside of work Kirsten enjoys spending time with family, keeping fit and is seasonally a keen skier.  With two small girls, there’s certainly enough happening to keep her on her toes!

Tania Allen – Projects Co-ordinator

Prior to Recruit IT, Tania was engaged by a leading ERP solutions provider in the SME as a senior business consultant working in New Zealand and Switzerland. This experience has given Tania the ability to understand the needs of businesses when adapting to changing market dynamics.

After having some “time out” to have two boisterous boys, Tania has recently added a 3rd baby (girl) to her growing family.  Tania has now returned as the Projects Co-ordinator at Recruit IT.

Chrissy Miller – Business and Marketing Manager

Chrissy MillerChrissy has a strong background in operational management, marketing and business administration. Her attention to detail ensures Recruit IT is humming along operationally and has the right structure in place to deliver a superior service to both its clients and candidates.

Chrissy positions the Recruit IT brand at the fore front of the market providing benefits for our clients such as attracting the best candidates possible through co-branding with Recruit IT in recruitment campaigns. It also means our jobs are highly visible so candidates can easily identify and apply for their ideal roles.

Prior to joining Recruit IT Chrissy worked within the medical, recruitment and marketing industry. Outside of work, Chrissy enjoys working out at the local gym, spending time with her family and walking on the beach.

Larissa Rush – Group Financial Controller

Larissa Rush Recruit IT TeamLarissa commenced her business career in banking in 1994. Since then she acquired a wide range of business skills having worked in FMCG, construction, professional services, pharmaceuticals and agricultural sectors.

Larissa’s experience spans across Finance and Accounting, Human Resources, Operations, Commercial and Information Technology. With a passion for IT and business improvement, she has led a number of successful system implementation projects. Holding two qualifications in Economics and Commerce, Larissa is a full member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

In Recruit IT she is responsible for the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the company. Outside of work Larissa enjoys skiing, music and theatre, literature and art, and spending time with family and friends.

Lara Wooles – Assistant Accountant

Lara WoolesLara began her sales career in 2009 before deciding on a career in accounting. Lara spent the following 3 years studying Accounting and Payroll in the UK before her big move to New Zealand in October 2012.

With her knowledge gained in Accounting, Lara joined the Recruit IT administration team in November 2012, providing support to the Contractor Payroll function. Since then, Lara has continued her role in the payroll team using her sales background to assist with both Recruit IT clients and candidates. Lara also undertakes a number of administrative tasks to help the wider Recruit IT team.

In her free time Lara is a keen sports person; her passion lies mainly with football.

Asad Naseem – Marketing Coordinator

Asad Naseem Recruit IT TeamBrought up in South Wales and born in England, Asad comes from a background in marketing with a diverse set of skills in the areas of social media and digital. Having graduated from the University of Auckland with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Asad combines his skills in the areas of neuroscience, human and consumer behaviour with that of his experience in marketing and brings a dynamic approach to his role as Marketing Coordinator at Recruit IT.

Asad is big on content creation, public events and passionate about engaging people and connecting with them through an array of media and the stories that are told. Creating a landscape that’s both compelling and one that resonates with communities is a large part of what drives him and he champions these ideas at Recruit IT.

Saskia Mendez – Account Director

Saskia Mendez Recruit IT TeamSaskia originally from London moved to Wellington to be closer to his mum and brothers. Having fond memories living in NZ for 4 years as a kid he decided to find out what this work / life balance was really about.

He learnt his trade of recruitment in the City of London and gained very good experience quickly in a very competitive and tough market. Saskia started out in recruitment at the beginning of 2011 and started his Wellington IT recruitment journey in March 2014.

Saskia liked the idea of joining and growing a kiwi owned Recruitment Company and being more flexible and dynamic in his approach to delivering excellence to clients and candidates.

Originally hailing from Yorkshire in the UK, Calum’s career in Banking and Finance started out in 2006 plying his trade around the North/West of England.

After gaining invaluable sales and client management experience Calum left the UK in 2012 to pursue his dream of travelling the world which would eventually come to last 4 years.

Spending the past year working as a professional Scuba Dive Master in Thailand, Calum took the big move to New Zealand. Chris Allen – Director

Chris AllenChris has a background in senior management specialising in account management and business development. He has exposure to SMEs, corporates, multinationals and central and local government as well as a range of ICT vendors.

Chris, (through years of both hands on and formal account management training) has the experience to deliver customer satisfaction and achieve results, locally, nationwide and globally. His personal network in Melbourne and previously in Auckland, enable him to leverage from these contacts to provide a broad cross section of candidates for his clients or opportunities for the candidates he works with.

Stephen Matheson – General Manager (Asia)

Stephen MathesonStephen started working in labour hire and recruitment in 2000 and he has since worked in the UK, Australia, China, the Philippines and more recently in the challenging Christchurch market.

Stephen joined Recruit IT from a highly successful construction company, so has experience in both internal and external recruitment roles and has also worked for local government. His expertise is linked to international project recruitment, developing innovative recruitment solutions for commercial construction companies and as such Stephen brings an honest and open approach to Recruit IT.
